One of Those Rants

It's one of those days when I hate my job. hayyy... There's been an ongoing SAP SP22 upgrade here at my client's office when I got back from my vacation. Seems like they missed me too much that my work here really did pile up so quickly after a week. Oh well, it's what I am paid to do so I don't have much choice. Talk about my client... my contract here was supposed to end by mid-November but they've decided to extend me until the end of the year. Hmmm... I am actually half-heartedly happy about it because that means I really have to stay here in Arizona and I am sort of getting tired of the things I am doing here. Although I know that I have reached that stable comfort level in what I do here, yes, the job has become easy but at the same time I am starting to feel that my knowledge base stopped expanding already which is bad for my job.

Hookay! I'm just too stressed today. Wooozzaaahhh...

Find Hope in Promises

Addiction to alcohol and a variety of illegal drugs here in the US is a common problem in a lot of states. Sad to say but it is the reality here. Rehabilitation facilities such as Promises, provide restorative and compassionate care for these patients who are greatly in need of help. By giving them a comprehensive continuum care such as residential treatment, extended care treatment, day treatment, outpatient treatment and sober living, these patients are able to recover with minimal distraction and providing them with a foundation for a lasting recovery. Promises’ drug and alcohol treatment center has a reputable 20 years experience in their field. Their high staff-to-client ratio assures clients that they are treated personally and with outmost care. Their facilities provide a home-like environment in a private estate residence to protect the privacy and confidentiality of their patients.

Back In Full Throttle

I am so sorry for not being a responsible blogger the past months. There's just been a lot happening in my life and I sort of had to give up blogging to make time and accommodate the more important things in my life. Well, at least I thought they were more important! Haha. Anyways, I am back from a long hiatus! Expect frequent new posts from this blog and I am going back to my daily rounds of blog visits to your sites especially to my fellow bloggers who have not removed my blog link from their websites inspite of my inactivity. Hehe. Thank you so much! I am very much adjusted to the jetlag from my recent Manila vacation so I have no excuse anymore for not posting anything. Haha.

Oh yeah... I'm back!

Finding What You Need Just In Time

One of the advantages that the internet technology has brought us is the availability of information without having to go anywhere far from your computer. Whenever we need to do researches about anything under the sun, search engines have become the standard for getting information. Back in those days when the internet has not yet been readily available to most people, it was so difficult to do school researches and papers because we literally had to go to the library, search through the tons of books and read. Nowadays, it's a whole lot different story. All you have to do is go online, and visit a search engine's website and type whatever you need. After just a couple of clicks, all the information that you might need is in front of you. How easy is that?

Find

I have found a search engine that is so easy to remember. Just key in FIND.COM and you can easily get access to the growing number of well-written articles about your search criteria. What's cool about it is that you can even append your search criteria to the URL following this syntax: http://find.com/any_keyword. Once you enter this in the URL address bar, your search results will immediately appear. Find.com Search Engine gives you access to information about jobs openings, apartments, real estate, find people, and a whole lot more.

When Comfort and Convenience is Not Enough

I just got back from my Manila vacation for 2 weeks. It was great to be back home... my real home.

Exactly a year ago, this big time dreamer went to the US armed with her guts and her belief that she was on top of her game. Living on my own for a year now has been an extreme rollercoaster adventure. I always tell myself every time I feel lonely to just enjoy the dips, twists, loops and anticipate the next ascent of my rollercoaster life. Yes, I am living THE LIFE! This is probably the kind of life that a lot of people will kill to have and the kind of life that probably not a lot of people are gifted with. I have always been thankful for what I have in my life.

Exactly after a year, this big ass dreamer decided to go back home. After going through a lot of hell living here in the US, she realized what a moron she was for giving up a comfortable, convenient and sheltered life. I guess God has His funny way of making us realize the importance of the things that He gives us no matter how tiny they are. He does not give great things to us without giving up something as great or greater. This independence that I am enjoying now made me give up comfort and convenience. Oh well... that's what I call balance.

Below is a list of stuff that I will miss about living in Pinas:
- having a maid and a driver
- not having to do laundry and any household chore =D
- malls that close late in the evening
- 24-hrs Starbucks and its proximity to the Makati office
- very affordable seafood and any other food for that matter
- wearing flip flops all-year-round

Clean-up In Progress...

I'm still catching up on my sleep because of jetlag and my backlog stories to tell before and during my trip to Manila. Please bear with me while I am in the process of putting things back into order. I just didn't expect that being gone for just two weeks can be this chaotic.
