Now I can start downloading and installing lots of stuff on my phone. Hayyy... techie people.

Thanksgiving Goodies Part 1

This is my second thanksgiving here in the US and I guess, the best part of thanksgiving is the shopping sale the next day, otherwise known as Black Friday. For this year, I spent thanksgiving here in Arizona with my friends in Chandler and Gilbert area. We woke up at 4AM and started shopping at around 5AM. First stop was Walmart and then Bestbuy and then OfficeMax. These Americans are crazy! Who said there is an economic instability here in the US when everybody at those stores went berserk doing shopping... and I would say, it was panic buying!

One of the goodies I got was my Smallville Seasons 1, 3 and 6 dvds. They were originally priced at 42.99 from Bestbuy but I got them at $15/season on sale! Hehe. I knew it was a great buy! Now, I am a homebody slacking around my apartment marathoning these dvds. Hehe.

Sedona Flashback

I have mentioned in my post about Vegas down here in my blog that I think Sedona's rock formation is far better. Now, let me show you photos of Sedona from my last trip there during the end of summer.

Do you believe me now? These photos are the reason why I want to own a house in Sedona. FYI, it's one of the most expensive areas to live here in Arizona. Who wouldn't want a house in Sedona if that's the view you'll see in your backyard? Haha.

Personal Masseuse

I was planning to build my home office empire this Black Friday after thanksgiving because I am sure that there will be great discounted prices of electronics on that day. While browsing online, something made me reconsider building my home office empire. Guess what? I found a massage chair from the Takemi Select website and I want one for myself. I love back massages so I'm sure this office chair masseuse will be a great accessory for my home office empire. If this is my work chair, I'm sure I will be working longer hours. Haha.

Other Side of Las Vegas

Las Vegas is known to be the sin city. I know that whenever you hear Vegas, you're probably thinking about casinos, 5-star hotels, nightclubs, showgirls, etc. Last weekend when I went to Vegas, the special friend brought me to a place that's far from the Vegas that I have in mind. Out of the blue, he drove his car and took me to the Red Rock Canyon. So obviously, I was not dressed for hiking nor anything related to doing a nature trip. Oh yeah, we went down the rocky tracks in my heels! Geez! This is one of the reasons why I hate surprises! I might not be dressed right for the occasion. Haha. Anyways, here are some photos of Red Rock Canyon. Well, I think Sedona here in Arizona still looks far more awesome but who would have thought you can find a nature park in Vegas right?

Barcelona Anyone?

A friend and I have been talking about doing a tour of Spain and France sometime next year. For the record, I have been planning to visit Barcelona for the last 2 years and it never materialized because of unavoidable circumstances. In 2007, I had to stay in Manila to wait for my US visa to be processed and at the same time I moved to the US around october of the same year. This year, I have been busy with my client here in Arizona while doing my weekend getaways to San Francisco, LA, Las Vegas, San Diego and Temecula. I also had to go back home to the Philippines last month. For the last two years, I've been drooling over these photos of Barcelona so I have decided that this should not go on and I have to see Barcelona next year.

Photos courtesy of

I miss Europe badly. I miss the slower paced and laidback life there. I am really looking forward to seeing Barcelona, Madrid and Paris next year. Want to join me in backpacking in Europe? Err... I might have a problem making everything fit on a backpack though. Haha. Talk about someone who does not know how to pack light. Hahaha.

Operation Mojo Premiere

Nat & Alex from Nickelodeon's "The Naked Brothers Band" will have a live chat next Saturday, November 22 for their new premier, the Operation Mojo. These two cute and talented kids are on their third season of the Nickelodeon series. These cute and talented young boys make great music too! Nat Wolff is the band's lead singer and songwriter. Alex is Nat's younger brother who plays the keyboard for the band and also writes songs. Operation MoJo premieres on November 22 at 8:00 PM Eastern time at the Nickelodeon channel.

Young adults nowadays are moving forward to making great music. I have noticed a lot of the younger generation creating big hits from their music career and it’s just amazing that they are already drawn to making the most out of their talent at an early age. These young stars inspire the younger generation to strive and do their best in whatever endeavor they want to do in their life may it be a hobby or a talent. I guess parents should continue encouraging and supporting their kids on these things. Of course studies should still come first.

By the way, did you know that the producers and director of this Nickelodeon hit show are the real-life parents of Nat and Alex? Now, that’s what I call a real family bonding experience. Again, don’t forget the live chat of Nat & Alex on November 22.

I Want This Baby

Hookay... finally I found the time to move some photos from my camera to my laptop. I really want this baby parked on my driveway! Waaaa! Look at the photos of this beauty! Too bad I only got to drive her for just a day. I so love the keyless door entry and push to start ignition.

Here are photos of the dashboard. They got rid of the other gauges that Kimi had. The digital thermometer is now on the dashboard.

I just have to work my ass off to earn enough money to buy this baby...

JourneyLite Bariatric Medicine

Losing weight has always been a problem for me. Trying to discipline your food intake is already a tedious task, much more exercise and work those fats out of your body is another thing. JourneyLite introduces a laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding(LAGB) method which is otherwise known as a LAP-BAND system which are performed by their highly experienced lap-band surgeon. Bariatric medicine is a proven surgical treatment for obesity which is a sad but true problem here in the US. Most of the time, losing weight is not just to look good but to be healthy and stay away from obesity related diseases. Check out JourneyLite website for more information about their free seminar on the LAGB procedure.

Nokia E71

This baby is my semi-new toy. So far, so good. I bought my Nokia E71 phone during my trip in Manila because it was cheaper to get it from Pinas with 0% interest for 6 months at roughly around 500usd. Not bad for a fully loaded, comparatively small business phone. With its QWERTY keyboard, it's easier to do text messages, answer emails and browse the internet. It is impressively fast... well, faster than an N95, i mean. The 3.2MP camera is a good addition to a business phone. It has an impressive battery life. I only charge every 2 to 2.5 days even if I do surf a lot. So far my only complaint is that since the casing is metallic silver steel, finger prints are left on the phone. Hello greasy fingers! Haha.

I've always been a Nokia fan not just because I used to work for them but their phones are comparatively sturdier and more durable that can withstand couple of drops. Hehe.

IS250 2008

You are staring at the baby I am driving today... well, a similar baby. It's a white 2008 Lexus IS250. Woohoo! I am so loving it! Well, I do love Kimi but he's at the dealership right now and getting a much needed check up and tune up. I am really praying that I dont have to spend hundreds of bucks for his repairs *again?!*. Oh well, the pains of maintaining a luxury car. I know! Kimi is still my favorite luxury inspite of my constant whining about how much I have already spent on him. haha. Hookay... although I am still in love with the Lexus IS, I am really thinking about getting a bimmer for my next car. No, I can't afford it right now but eventually, when the right time comes. I want a bimmer for my next car. =)

Autism Support Network

Autism is a result of a neurological disorder during the first three years of life. Patients who suffer from autism have impaired social interaction and communication skills. Autism can happen to anybody regardless of race, ethinicity, social boundaries, family income level, lifestyle choices nor educational levels. Though the incidence of autism are more prevalent in boys than in girls.

The Autism Support Network is a community that connects families and individuals affected by autism. They provide support, insight, resource guide for treatment, strategies on how to deal with the condition and therapies available in the market to the families and individuals who seek help. Joining this community is free. Find more information about this community in the press release below.

Press Release:

Autism Support Network Launches, Offers Free Online Support Community

Thousands around the world already connecting, sharing guidance and help

October 21, 2008. Autism Support Network today announced the launch of its free online support community available at The online service – rapidly growing with already thousands of members around the world – connects families and individuals touched by autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with each other, provides support and insight, and acts as a resource guide for treatments, strategies and therapies.

Key features of the community include matching those members seeking similar support with one another, the ability to create appointments virtually or in actual locations between members, community groups for open sharing of information, user blogs, chat and capabilities for members to host and share personal photos and documents. The Autism Support Network also includes resource listings across the United States, Canada, England and India.

"Parents frequently feel paralyzed and isolated when they discover their child has autism. Those adults who have autism themselves also frequently find it difficult to engage socially with others for support," said Brian Field, co-founder of Autism Support Network. "Whether you’re a parent whose child has autism, a medical practitioner or someone with autism, our global community was created to facilitate an exchange of ideas, help and interactive discussion. Those dealing with ASD needn't have to 're-invent the wheel' – they can find others here that have likely experienced what they’re going through and can help provide personal guidance."

Today 1 in 150 children is diagnosed with autism, with a new case diagnosed every 20 minutes and is the fastest-growing developmental disability in the United States today. More children will be diagnosed with autism this year than with AIDS, diabetes & cancer combined. Autism is characterized by impaired social interaction, problems with verbal and nonverbal communication, and unusual, repetitive, or severely limited activities and interests. Other ASDs include Asperger syndrome, Rett syndrome, childhood disintegrative disorder, and pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specified (usually referred to as PDD-NOS). Males are four times more likely to have autism than females.

I want RED

It's the time of the year once again to go gaga over Starbucks coffee and Starbucks stickers/stamps. I am not exaggerating! I remember 3 years ago, I would drink Starbucks coffee 3 times a day just to get 3 stickers and be the first *at least in my circle of friends* to own a Starbucks planner! For the last three years, I have been a big fan of the Starbucks planner. Oh yeah, that's my desperate attempt to "organize" and "plan" my life. Hehe. 2009 Starbucks planner is now out! Yehey! I want RED!

Last year, since I moved here in the US, *they dont have Starbucks planners here, btw*, I pestered my friends in Manila to drink as much coffee as they can just to get me that Starbucks planner. Haha. This year, I would like to make a shout out to my friends... I do accept birthday and Christmas gifts and I wish to get a 2009 Starbucks planner in RED!!! Awww... I just miss the fun over collecting those stamps/stickers to get a planner. Hayyyy... those were the good ol' days.
