Friday's feast chef is still out so I am going to answer Jodi's Food for thought questions.

Breakfast
What is one thing you look forward to each day? Each week?
- talking to that special person who spoils me with so much attention =)

Lunch
Are you a hoarder or a chucker?
- Hoarder!

Dinner
Do your dinner meals consist mostly of home cooked meals, convenience foods (i.e. boxed, frozen, heat & serve, etc.), or fast food? Who does most of the cooking in your home?
- Home cooked meals. I love cooking!

Midnight Snack
Has the rising cost of gasoline caused you to restrict, limit, or alter anything in your life? If so what?
- It altered my life because I had to blog more to earn more moolah for my luxuries. haha.

Recipe for this Week (instead of your recipe for life - what is it for just this week?)
- Looking forward to seeing Vegas next week! Yehey!

I am so loving this song from Sonicflood! I can play it over and over and over and never get tired of it. Hehehe. Hoookay... Just sing along with me...

Over the mountains and the sea
Your river runs with love for me
And I will open up my heart
And let the healer set me free
I'm happy to be in the truth
And I will daily lift my hands
For I will always sing
Of when your love came down

I could sing of your love forever
I could sing of your love forever
I could sing of your love forever
I could sing of your love forever

Over the mountains and the sea
Your river runs with love for me
And I will open up my heart
And let the healer set me free
I'm happy to be in the truth
And I will daily lift my hands
For I will always sing
Of when your love came down

Oh, I feel like dancing
This foolishness, I know
But when the world has seen the light
They will dance with joy
Like we're dancing now

Lap-band surgery is considered to be one of the least invasive and least traumatic weight-loss medical surgeries. The laparoscopic approach to performing this type of surgery has greater advantages to the patient because it reduces the post-oprative pain and allow faster recovery for patients. Dr. Richard E. Collier is performing a free lap-band seminar at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott in Texas on September 20, 2008. For those aspiring doctors who would like to perform laparoscopic lap-band procedure, sign-up now at Dr. Collier's website for lap-band woodlands by clicking on the link.

Even with barely 4 hours of sleep last weekend, I really enjoyed serving the community for our annual SFC Christian Life Program. I have only been in the community for less than 3 months now and the experience of being able to serve my community is so overwhelmingly great. I praise God for giving us brothers and sisters in California to help us in our CLP. To our newly dedicated brothers and sisters, welcome to the family. =)

After three years of working with a Dell Latitude laptop, my boss finally gave in to buying me a new Dell XPS M1530. This Dell XPS came with a Windows Vista OS. Honestly, I am a new Windows Vista user and I have always loved the classic windows 2000 user interface. If you are an IT person who works on software, you would understand why I like the simpler classic windows 2000 interface. When you're running too many high-load, memory-hugging operations on your machine all at the same time, like Oracle, weblogic, IntelliJ, etc., the least thing you'd want to do is to add a snazzy, fancy OS GUI that adds more burden to your machine's processing speed. I was amazed during the first time I have used vista. Inspite of its awesome graphical experience, I did not experience any slowdown or maybe it's not even noticeable. When I moved my software programs to my new Windows Vista enabled laptop, my software and programming tools were amazingly running in there. I did not have any troubles installing them and finding a Vista version installer for them because Windows Vista is compatible with a lot of leading business applications. What I like about vista is that it supports a lot more hardware or input/output devices so there's basically no need to research and download specific drivers for these devices. As with all types of OS, security is very important. Vista solved a lot of the security vulnerabilities that of Windows XP. It is said to be the most secure Windows release to date. I am convinced that I made a good decision to choose this Windows Vista for my new laptop’s OS.

Well, it's so obvious that I am still suffering from a conference hangover that's why I decided to create this conference photo video. Hehe. Good excuse to post photos eh?! Haha. And!!! Listen to the song that I used for the video... that's my new favorite song *of the moment!*. The song "I Will Sing Of Your Love Forever" by SonicFlood was used during the conference and I fell in love with it. I hope you do too! =) Oh by the way, the video looks so much better from multiply. For some reason youtube tried to downgrade the resolution of the video *maybe to save space*... sucks! *Note to self... stop complaining! It's free!*

During my Manila days, my friends and I would obsess about taking advantage of online sales events in our favorite shops. Most of these online shops are located in the US and would only accept US addresses as a mailing address so it’s been tad difficult for us to do online shopping from the Philippines unless a friend who lives in the US volunteers his home address for us to use. Most of the time, these online shops ship only to US addresses or the international shipping rates are very expensive and defeats the purpose of the SALE that we are trying to take advantage of.

Access USA provides you with a unique and real US street address that you can use whenever you do your online purchases or whenever you get subscriptions from the US. This US address is not a PO Box which most ecommerce websites do not accept as a valid delivery address. It is a valid shipping destination! Most international shipping costs a lot, but in MyUS.com website, shipping cost to your country is available at a very low international shipping rate that is much less than the rate of the US retailer. You can save as much as 70% on your shipping costs. With MyUS.com website, you can consolidate your purchases into a single package and you have the option to schedule the frequency of your package forwarding to any international address that you want. Sign-up now in the MyUS.com website and take advantage of their trial membership.

Lately I've been obsessing again about Hillsong. Did I mention that they really, really make great christian music? I think I've featured one of their songs in one of my posts here. During the conference a couple of weeks ago, a lot of their songs were played during the praisefest. I particularly like this one song so let me share it to you...

You are the Way the Truth and the Life
We live by faith and not by sight for You
We're living all for You

One of my friends recently got into a car accident and she was telling us that when the firemen rescued her and brought her to the ambulance, the rescuers, who were all men by the way, ripped her clothes open. So we were jokingly telling each other that the biggest lesson learned from this accident is to always, always wear nice underwear just in case they need to rip your clothes off. Of course it was still a serious incident but we can't help but find something funny out of it.

This is one of those days that I hate my job. When your boss scolds you for a mistake that you should not be liable for, what do you do? I really thank my parents for raising me not to answer back to older people when they scold me even if I know I am right. Sometimes it takes a lot of patience to deal with these difficult people. Hayyyy.... Wooozzzaaaaahhhh. No matter how much I try to understand the situation, his rudeness is still not justifiable. Hayyyyy.... Lord, please help me understand these kinds of people. Please give me enough patience and will power to just lift up this difficult situation to you. I know that you are the only one who can relieve my burden.

Repeat after me... wwwwooooozzzzaaaaahhhh...
