Indian Bistro for Friday

I was invited to a team lunch on Friday in an Indian Restaurant. I know I've been too biased about them... partly because of the stories of my boss based on his personal experience and I myself working with them for the last 5++ years. I've been to an Indian restaurant before... ONCE! And I never went back because of the bad service in that restaurant that we went to and the food that didn't really appeal to me. Now I am worried to join my team to this team lunch. Oh no! What should I order that may appeal to my tastebuds? I like curries but not the super dooper extremely spicy ones that can kill your tastebuds. Any suggestions on what to order in an Indian resto for a non-adventurous eater like me???
